I am particularly interested in the impact of technology on financial markets. Recent developments in big data and artificial intelligence have been greatly impacting the financial industry and I would like to be at the forefront in trying to understand these changes. I started my career working for a systematic hedge fund and, while this experience has shaped my research interests and honed my intuition for financial markets, the PhD has helped frame this intuition with deeper theoretical understanding. My long term goal is to bring industry and academia closer through insightful and relevant research which can both help us better understand the functioning of financial markets and have practical relevance.
